Holding Onto It Won’t Help
Do you struggle with negativity, bitterness, and anger?
Maybe you’re like me and you struggle with self doubt and uncertainty?
I am here to tell you that you don’t have to believe the lies.
You don’t have to live in the struggle.
The truest thing about you is what God says about you.
What you think, or what someone else thinks and says about you, is not your truth.
We can become so paralyzed by lies and false beliefs that we miss our purpose and the plan God has for our lives.
There is just one of you. Only ONE!
That means you, my friend, are here for a purpose that no one else can fulfill.
It’s so important to understand God’s Word and let His truth speak up for you.
We need to DAILY RENEW OUR MINDS and commit to not being consumed by negative self-talk or toxic habits that are brought on by the way we feel.
Ephesians 4:29 says, “Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.”
Paul warns us of bitterness, slander, harsh words, and negative attitudes.
Just as God has forgiven us, we must begin to forgive others.
And ourselves.
Paul tells us to deal with our emotions immediately instead of burying them, so we can build up our relationships not destroy them.
It’s not that we shouldn’t feel anger or frustration, but we should learn how to handle it properly. We must learn to head into a new direction with our thoughts and actions if we want to feel true joy and peace.
What you say matters.
Life is all about progression not perfection.
Trying to be better than someone else is worthless.
Trying to be better than who you were yesterday should always be the goal.
Will it be hard?
Yes!
But so is lying to yourself and living life based on the conditioned beliefs that you have been speaking and thinking in your mind over and over again.
It’s time to practice speaking truth and power into your life.
We need to take action steps to turn the tide of our anxiety, doubt, and fear.
Run to the father and allow him to speak His power-filled words over your life.
What you think about yourself and your truth, matters.
Scripture tells us to think about, even dwell on, that which is praiseworthy.
The enemy wants our minds to be filled with all sorts of trash and dangerous imaginations. Let’s commit to thinking about what we are thinking about.
Here is a list of things you can do to start aligning your thoughts with God’s Word…
✔️Start a gratitude journal.
✔️Make a list of affirmations.
✔️Identify the lies.
✔️Refocus on God’s Truth.
Speak this prayer today:
Lord, I want to speak and live from Your truth. Often I feel so overwhelmed by my anxious thoughts I don’t know how to control the way I feel. I want to believe I am who you say I am. Help me to search Your truth and meditate on Your Word daily. I want to hear Your voice over all the other voices in my life.
Thank you Lord for bringing me back to you, In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen!
