Break Free of Fear

I want to talk to you about fear.

Whether it’s fear of what will happen to your loved ones.

Fear of your health.

Fear of what is going on in our world.

Fear of change.

We all experience fear, but it’s important for us to understand that if our fear is manifesting itself as anxiety, anger or a spirit of fear, (a tormenting fear in our mind) that WILL keep us from moving forward.

Your fear doesn’t have to result in you feeling crazy, obsessed, or keeping you stuck.

You can take control of your fear, allow yourself to process it, and then link it to the thoughts that are not serving you.The thoughts that are keeping you in the fear.

It’s so important to understand how you handle fear right when you begin to feel it.

So, the next time you feel fear, I want you to recognize which of the following is the way in which you handle your fear;

Are you reacting to it in a negative way? Maybe with anger or frustrations so you lash out at others or get angry very quickly

Is your fear making you want to be in control of EVERYTHING? Maybe you are wanting to control your circumstances or trying to control the people around you and when you can’t, you become consumed with worry and doubt.

Maybe you find you try and avoid your fear. Do you pretend like it’s not there? Acting like it’s no big deal and stay busy with something else.
It’s like when you’re in the pool and you try to push a ball down into the water. After you keep pushing it down, it pops up with more power and force.

Or do you obsess over your fear? You create such a sense of anxiety and overwhelm because you just can’t let it go. You keep reading the same information and talking to the same people that justify your fear. They validate what you think is true.

All of these ways that we typically handle fear, literally compound our feelings and create thought loops in our mind that are so unhelpful.

This is why it’s so important to allow yourself to feel the fear and think to yourself, “how am I wanting to process this?” and “What is my conditioned response/habit that I am wanting to create right now?”

Then, you can decide how to use your fear to help you instead of allowing it to control you.

When you take the time to stop and understand that fear is just a feeling your brain is using to protect you from what it doesn’t know, you can start to learn what you need to understand to use your fear in the appropriate way.

You can begin to understand that fear is not something to be afraid of.

You no longer have to be afraid of your fear.

You can allow the fear, decide if it’s appropriate, and learn how to feel peaceful instead.

Believe in God’s truth today…

“He did not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7
