Faith Focused

When you are taking a picture, you don’t just grab your camera and take a shot. You wait for the lens to take focus. You make sure the lighting is just right. Then, you are more confident the picture will be a perfect shot, right?

Just as you have to focus your camera lens to get a clear view, we have to refocus our lives to stay in line with God’s will. It’s easy for us to get sidetracked by other people or things.

Life can get busy, and we can start to go down a path that is complacent or destructive. Maybe you are living your life, right now, the way someone else is expecting you to live it.

Maybe you are settling for a job that you know isn’t right for you, but you are comfortable, and it pays the bills. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not telling you to go to work tomorrow and quit your job. Your job may be perfect for you. But maybe, just maybe, you are feeling like something is missing…there is something more.

I want to encourage you today, to take the time to focus on where you are and where you want to be.

Is there a passion for something inside of you that you have buried under your daily to do list?

Do you feel a deeper calling on your life, but you are afraid you don’t have the time, money, or resources to make it happen? God already has the “how” worked out!! It is as simple as starting an action plan and moving in the direction of your purpose. As you move closer and closer to your calling, you will start to get your zeal back. You will start to feel confident in who you are. You will start to change your mind about what you are capable of. And when you start to change your mind, you will start to change the way you feel.

That, my friend, is where the transformation begins. That is when you can start to take action to live the life you have always desired.

Proverbs 4:25-26 says, “Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure.”

Ponder your path today.

Get focused and allow your feet to move in the direction God is calling you toward.
