God’s Love is Greater
Our God’s love is set apart like no other.
His love sets Him apart from the gods of every other religion.
His love sets Him apart from every human on this earth.
Other religions say to “strive” and our God, He says to “LOVE.” Everything He does and everything He will do flows from love.
You were made from love, and your brain was created by love.
God is often described as our Heavenly Father. I think for those who had loving fathers growing up, it is easier to relate to seeing God as a loving dad. But for those who didn’t have a loving earthly father, it may be harder to comprehend His love for us.
But God doesn’t just love us, it is who He is.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13: 4-7
We can take comfort in submitting to a God who is love.

I want to encourage you to be more mindful of the depth of God’s love. We just don’t think about it enough. We can get so wrapped up in this world that we forget the importance of why we are here.
Maybe it was a bad day at work…
Your kids are not listening…
Your best friend is sick with cancer…
You’re not sure how you are going to pay the next bill…
You are sick and tired of the emotional struggle…
Focusing our thoughts on our problems can keep us so stuck in them.
By remembering that we were made to be loved by God, and to be love to others, we can learn to open our hearts and minds to a world bigger than ourselves.
We can see the opportunities that God has for us to create a better circumstance by simply loving others around us more.
And why should we love, even when we don’t want to, even when they don’t deserve it, even when it is hard….
“We love because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19
