Trust In Him Alone

In uncertain times, overcoming fear and anxiety can be a giant hurdle.

The unknown can tempt us to react with doubt, worry, and panic.
But God says to us, “do not fear.”

To really take anxiety and fear by the reigns, we must understand what we are telling ourselves and align it with what God says is true.

The problem is that many of us have been taught to deny any kind of overwhelm, fear, and anxiety by not dealing with it…. just keep going…. don’t think about it.

By ignoring it or pushing it away, our fear will continue to hinder us from living the life we truly yearn to live.

It keeps us believing, we will NEVER FEEL BETTER.

The feeling or situation you are avoiding is not going to just go away, my friend.

Whatever is keeping you stuck in the pit of darkness, the only way to overcome it is to draw on God’s strength and truth, and make the decision to change once and for all.

Today, He offers you His strength. He has a promise that you can stand on.

“Fear not for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

Jesus deliberately sent His disciples into a storm. Why?

To develop their faith, and show them that with Him on board you can get through anything.

He wanted them to come nearer. He wanted them to trust in Him alone.

And He wants the same for you.

God will keep exposing you to difficult situations because He knows it will draw you closer to Him.

He knows it’s the only way your faith will grow so you will seek Him above all else.

What fear is holding you back in your life?

Its’ time to overcome the unbelief so you can live the life God intended for you all along.

It’s time to start trusting in God’s truth FOR YOU.

It’s time to start trusting His Word instead of The World.

How is this blog speaking to you today?

This is directly speaking to my situation right now. I am receiving help for severe OCD and depression and this is going along the same path they are teaching medically but instead by faith in God.

#1 fear holding you back from living your best life:
I’ve “used” many things throughout my life to, what I thought, would relieve my anxiety, depression, insecurities, shame, etc. I tried alcohol, some drugs, eating disorders and being a workaholic. Obviously, those things did nothing but cause mental, physical & spiritual problems. All I needed the most was God & renewal of my mind & heart. I even tried to be a perfect Christian which left me burned out & turning away from God & church. I have one thing I fear the most to give up and that is smoking. It makes me feel vulnerable to open up this truth because I always felt like other Christians would judge me on this. Though I was silently judging them also. I feel like I am needing to be completely honest with myself & others because today I want God to be #1 in my life. And I believe I was led to Kiley and the Anxiety Unashamed program to renew my thinking and become closer to God to which I am so grateful!
