Give God the Glory
đ¶ Rise and Shine and Give God the Glory đ¶
Do you remember that songâŠ..Rise and shine and give God the glory?
Not only is it a catchy tune but itâs such a great reminder.
Do you ever wake up already feeling overwhelmed and anxious about your day asking, âWhy is my life so hard?â
Or maybe you wake up thinking about the mistakes you made yesterday and how much it validated how stupid and worthless you areâŠ.
Itâs time to WAKE UP!
I get it. I used to think it. I used to feel this way, and it was so tormenting to my mind and soul. I know you’re about to lose it, but you donât have to.
đ« You can learn to wake up with a purpose.
đ« You can learn to wake up with direction.
đ« You can learn to wake up with Jesus.
And by learning how to wake up with purpose, direction, and Jesus, you can learn how to change the way you feel to begin to change your life.
Your desired life is đŻ possible for you and it literally starts with how you wake up.
I remember praying and praying and feeling like God just couldnât hear me.
Or, maybe He didnât care that I was suffering…
Every new day can bring new challenges.
Maybe you keep feeling the ache in your heart getting worse like I did.
“Why is everything happening to me while others seem to have it so easy?”
You keep on praying to God, but you seem so far away you canât hear Him.
And all your hope is lost. đ
I see you, friend. You are not alone.
We all can allow our feelings of overwhelm and anxiety to get the better of us. But you werenât meant to stay there, and there is not something âwrongâ with you.
You just need to retrain your brain.
If we want to have an amazing dayâŠ
If we want God to show upâŠ
We have to give Him time. We have to give Him our attention.
You wouldnât expect your relationship with your spouse to grow without talking to them.
You wouldnât be able to build a strong bond with a friend by expecting them to do everything while you sit and wait, right?
Our relationship with God works the same way.
We have to start our day by reminding ourselves this is the day that He gave us. We are alive because of Him and not the other way around. By taking the time to reflect and allow your mind to be renewed with His Word first thing, you will set your day up for success. Pray and believe that He is there. He always has been.
God is with you.
He listens to your prayers.
Donât lose faith.
So, be careful how you live. Donât live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Donât act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. Ephesians 5: 15-17

I am intentionally thinking about what is causing my anxious or overwhelm feelings/thoughts every time they creep up. I pray for God to give me wisdom to identify what I am thinking/doing onot doing that is opening the door. It is working well about 80% of the time after a 2-3 month habit of following this taking time to ask God for help and working to change my habit to one of stopping old pattern of thoughts and changing to new God truth driven thought patterns. It is taking time but working and worth the effort. Thank you Kiley for being one of the catalysts to teaching me how to renew my mind to God’s truth! God bless you!

I remember singing this song in my youth group many, many years ago but I still remember it today. The struggle is real. Battling the mind is so hard.
