God is More Powerful Than Your Brain

One day I looked at myself in the mirror and thought…

“Wow, It’s really happening!”

I had finally learned to like who God created me to be.

If you are anything like me, you can understand my surprise and even more, my excitement.

The self loathing, shame and uncertainty was finally over.

Not that I don’t still question my ability, lack confidence or try to compare myself from time to time, (hey, I’m human), but I finally learned how to take control of my emotions by understanding my thoughts.

When my mind starts to conform to the crazy beliefs and negativity this world teaches us to believe, I quickly flip the switch to what is true, honorable and praiseworthy.

Did you know God has that will for you as well?

It’s true.

The Bible tells us so. And if you believe we have a God that is more powerful than your brain, It’s time for you to believe His Word is not just true, but IT IS TRUE FOR YOU.

I finally started believing in who God created me to be and setting goals to live out the GOOD AND PLEASING will God had for me all along.

And so can you, my friend.

To encourage you and bring you hope today, I want to share some of God’s promises with you:

1. God designed you for a purpose. — Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
2. God gives you power — 2 Timothy 1:7 “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”
3. God will strengthen and help you — Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
4. God will give you wisdom –James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
5. God has a plan for your life — Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
6. God promises you an abundant life — John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
7. God is always with you — Joshua 1:9 “This is my command-be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
